Jordan Gilbert

OWNER

GMS began with Jordan’s longstanding ambition to open his own garage.

Jordan started as an apprentice technician with Peugeot in Honiton in 2000, before moving to Mercedes-Benz five years later. He then spent 13 years at BMW in Exeter, working on prestige and high-performance vehicles.

During that time, he qualified as an IMI Approved Senior Vehicle Technician, a Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technician and an M Power Specialist. A move into service management at Nissan followed in 2019.

The opportunity to reflect during the 2020 lockdown helped him take the next step and establish Gilbert Motor Services. Today, the garage looks after vehicles in Sowton, Exeter.

Stefan Moloney

SENIOR TECHNICIAN

My name is Stefan, and I bring 18 years of experience in the motor trade to Gilbert Motor Services. I began my career at BMW, developing my technical skills and progressing to senior technician and workshop control roles.

I then spent five years at Nissan as a diagnostic technician, working as part of a large team and building my experience in fault finding and vehicle repair.

For the past two years, I have worked alongside Jordan at GMS, applying my main dealer experience to a wide range of makes and models. I take pride in diagnosing problems thoroughly, completing work with care and helping customers understand what their vehicle needs.
